Meet the Teacher
Hello, I’m Makyla!
I’m enthusiastically passionate about early childhood development and believe deeply in the importance of learning through play. My goal is to create a positive, inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and excited to play, learn, and grow.
I’ve been a certified Early Childhood Educator for 14 years, with my experience focused specifically on preschool-aged children. Even as my career expanded into entrepreneurship, early childhood education has always remained close to my heart — and I’m so happy to be back in the classroom!
I’m incredibly grateful to be part of this wonderful community and look forward to getting to know you and your little ones.

My husband is a power lineman, and we have two kids, ages 8 & 10.

I’m also a designer and run my own interior design studio, working on residential, commercial & community spaces.

I LOVE dogs and have two pups named Biggie + Bloom.

I’m a goofball & love to laugh!

I love coffee, music, plants, creative projects, crafting, thrifting & all things spooky.

Fall is my most favourite season of all.
